Resetting App Preferences

If TextClipper is acting strangely, resetting it to factory defaults often helps.

How to Reset

  1. Click the TextClipper icon in the menu bar > Preferences.
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click the Reset All Settings button.
  4. Confirm the action. The app will restart.
Warning: This will erase your saved shortcuts, API keys, and language preferences. It will NOT delete any captured history if you used the History feature.

Manual Reset (Terminal)

If you cannot open the app window, you can use Terminal:

defaults delete com.michael.TextClipper

Run this command while TextClipper is closed, then relaunch the app.
