Using the Additive Clipboard
The Additive Clipboard is a powerhouse feature that lets you copy multiple snippets of text one after another, stacking them into a single list.
How it Works
Normally, when you copy something, it replaces the previous item in your clipboard. With Additive Mode enabled, new copies are appended to the existing clipboard content.
Activating Additive Mode
- Click the TextClipper icon in the menu bar.
- Select Enable Additive Clipboard.
- You will see a small badge or indicator confirming the mode is active.
Capturing Multiple Items
Capture text normally (⌘⇧2) multiple times. For example:
- Capture a paragraph from a PDF.
- Capture a code block from a video.
- Capture a URL from a slide.
When you finally hit Paste (⌘V), all three items will be pasted at once, separated
by a newline.
Pro Tip: This is incredibly useful for research, compiling notes from slides,
or gathering code snippets from different files.
Clear & Reset
To clear the stack and start fresh:
- Automatic: Paste the content (Additive Mode usually resets after a paste, depending on your settings).
- Manual: Click the menu bar icon and select Clear Clipboard History.
